INVESTKentucky is a biannual equity investment conference bringing together Kentucky's most dynamic public companies with institutional investors, fund managers, analysts and qualified investment professionals. Guided by a steering committee, supported by the CFA Society of Louisville and sponsored by Hilliard Lyons, this exclusive invitation-only conference is held at Kentucky's most famous and historical landmark--Churchill Downs, the legendary home of the Kentucky Derby. From the first conference in 2004 through today, INVESTKentucky provides a forum for CEOs and CFOs to discuss results and strategy through large-group equity presentations and one-on-one meetings. Additionally, a renowned keynote speaker provides expert commentary about the economic climate and the markets. Afterward, attendees can enjoy the thrill of participating in Churchill Downs' Spring Racing Meet.

As a result of the successful equity conferences in Kentucky, similar state-focused equity conferences have been conducted in Indianapolis (INVESTIndiana) and are being planned for Columbus, Ohio this September (INVESTOhio). Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth, Inc. is the premier global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions. Today ACG stands at over 12,000 members from corporations, private equity, finance, and professional service firms representing Fortune 500, Fortune1000, FTSE 100, and mid-market companies in 53 chapters in North America and Europe. Leaders in corporations, private equity, finance, and professional service firms focused on building value in their organizations belong to ACG. They recognize the multiple benefits of networking within an influential community of executives growing public and private companies worldwide.

Our new chapter was formed in August 2008 to serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Southern Indiana region.

Our region has a well established corporate community and professional support infrastructure as well as a long tradition of supporting corporate growth. While we have several high profile cases of exceptional corporate achievement, there has been no formal outlet for those engaged in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions.

In recognition of this region's growth and development as an economic center, a robust private equity community is developing. Several local private equity firms are in operation and several high profile national firms have recently opened offices. Additionally, our geographic location between Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Nashville places us at the center of a large segment of the Midwest and the U.S. population.

The Board of Directors for ACG Kentucky is enthusiastic about the new chapter. The board consists of senior executives from prominent private equity firms, investment banks, commercial banks, business services firms, and private equity backed growth businesses.

Our board believes the environment exists and the time is right to introduce the benefits of an ACG chapter in this region.
