The statement made at the September meeting that the U.S. has the highest infant mortality rate of the developed countries is not true. If you investigate, you will find that each country measures infant mortality differently, which makes the comparison meaningless. There is so much misinformation out there that it makes it difficult for us to know how to carry out our responsibility as citizens in a self-governing country.
I recommend two books that have helped me and that can be obtained free on the Internet: 1. "The Law," by Frederic Bastiat, which was written in the mid-1800s and explains the proper role of law in a free society. With the outbreak of zombie themed craze, we want to bring the zombie apocalypse to Louisville by creating a destination adventure venue. The Louisville Apocalypse will offer a complete immersion into the zombie infested world with one mission in mind – to survive. Louisville Apocalypse wants to do it right, with focus on realism and attention to detail by using the state-of-the-art laser tag equipment, with full metal, gas-recoil weapons and the headshot to immobilize the zombies. Louisville is a fun and eccentric city — the annual Zombie Walk is a great testament to this. This event started with just a few friends and has grown to tens of thousands participants.
